Ann Alugunat is a widow who lives in Teso Village, Kenya. Since 2002 she had lived with an ever-growing tumor on her jaw that had made it increasingly difficult for her to eat—a problem that led to malnutrition. The people in her village—even her own family—had come to accept that Ann would soon die.
The dead don't smile. Neither did Safi, who felt dead on the inside. Most of the women who arrive at the Women of Wellness (WoW) Center in the city of Goma, DR Congo, look and feel just like Safi; broken and numb. So when Safi walked into the center with that same look, her story wasn't hard to guess.
Reach and Send. These are 2 words that sum up the primary goal of the Unreached People Groups Ministry. And Paul Fang's life sums up those 2 words. From the unreached A-Che tribal group in southern China, Paul was one of the first to respond to the gospel when our team began working among them.
Morad, a Christian, sat waiting in an automobile licensing office. Another waiting man was a Muslim mullah. The wait had been long, and the impatient mullah finally blurted out loudly, "The people working here are in need of God's forgiveness!" Seizing the opportunity, Morad asked the man about forgiveness. The mullah admitted that Muslims could never be sure their sins have been forgiven.
Another sick child. Shanthi's heart broke seeing one of her little ones ill once again because of drinking contaminated water, but there were no clean water options. Shanthi was too poor to purchase bottled water or fuel to boil the contaminated water she drew from her village's only supply, water that required her to hike for hours every day.
