You can restore life for a mother and her children, one that evil tried to take away from them

Rebecca had just opened the door to her small house when suddenly she felt something splash across her face—but the instant, searing pain told her it wasn't water. A split-second later she felt her face melting. It was acid.

In a willful act of hatred her estranged husband, who had been cheating on her, acquired acid and executed his revenge. Her "crime"? She'd left him, taking their three young children. Expecting Rebecca to come crawling back, unable to provide for herself, two sons and their daughter, he was enraged to learn that she could succeed without him.

Thankfully he was apprehended and is in jail for his crimes, but Rebecca's life has been shattered. She's covered in scars, may lose her sight, and has lost much of her dignity.

Rebecca will need medical care that could easily surpass $1,000. But also, because she is now disabled, she needs immediate help for school fees for her children, for food, and for rent for their small home. She also needs help to become self-sufficient again by starting her own business to provide for herself and her precious children.

Note: Sadly, this is not an uncommon method of revenge in Uganda, as well as Kenya. If we raise more funds than are needed for Rebecca's care, we'll also help other victims of acid attacks
